Welcome again to my new fundraising page for my run for to raise funds for research at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in the 2012 Boston Marathon! I am really delighted to be running again this year for a cause which is dear to my heart. I have worked with the Boston Retinal Implant Project's founder, MEEI Neuro-Ophthalmologist Dr. Joseph Rizzo, for over 12 years, and I have found the staff at the Eye and Ear to be just extraordinary.
Running the Marathon for the first time last year was a fabulous experience for me, and to me it epitomizes a "win-win" scenario: the patients at MEEi benefit from the funded research, and I got in great shape again. I also saw how my fundraising efforts caused me to reach out and strengthen the many communities of friends, family, and co-workers that support me - what could be better than that?!
Please consider a generous donation to the Foundation of Mass. Eye and Ear in support of my run. I look forward to hearing from you!
Since 2006, Mass. Eye and Ear's marathon team, Team Eye and Ear, has raised over $1.4 million for research and patient care at Mass. Eye and Ear. in 2012, we aim to raise more than $350,000. Team Eye and Ear members bring new hope and a healthier future to people everywhere who suffer from debilitating conditions affecting sight, hearing, voice, balance, taste and smell and cancers of the eye, head and neck.
