BENEFITING: Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary
ORGANIZER: Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary
EVENT: 2013 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 15, 2013
We will be running in the 2013 Boston Marathon this April to help pediatric airway patients at Mass. Eye and Ear and around the world.
The funds raised will:
- Develop the Pediatric Laryngology Lab to translate basic research into practical ways of helping children who cannot speak to finally speak and those who cannot breathe (without a tracheotomy) to finally breathe.
- Support Operation Airway, the Mass. Eye and Ear / MGH for Children pediatric airway surgery mission to Quito, Ecuador. Our team performs airway reconstructive surgeries to allow children to breathe by themselves for the very first time. We also teach the local doctors and nurses the skills and team training required in the hopes that, in several years, we will no longer be needed there and can help children in other areas of the world.
We Need Your Help!
Please consider making to the Pediatric Airway marathon team from Mass. Eye and Ear by a donation by clicking on the "DONATE" button to the right. Also, please share this with your friends and family.

At Mass. Eye and Ear, our focus is your quality of life. We treat everything that has to do with the eyes, ears, nose, throat, head and neck - so that you and those you care about can get more out of the world around us.
Our physicians are more than just specialists; each is also a researcher and a teacher. These doctors don't just apply the latest advances in medicine; they invent them. Together with Mass. Eye and Ear scientists, they work tirelessly to understand the root causes of diseases that both take people's lives and rob too many others of their quality of life.
Every dollar raised makes it possible for Mass. Eye and Ear to excel in clinical care, research and medical education. That, in turn, allows us to provide the finest specialty care to every person who comes through our door and to share our knowledge in order to help patients around the world.
Thank you for your support.
