EVENT: 2013 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 15, 2013
Mileage Tracker: 430
As many of you know, I have spent much of my time in college on disability work. As I finish the last semester of my college career, I am running the 2013 Boston Marathon to raise money for one of the leaders in treating eye and ear impairments, the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. For those of you who know my father, Hootie, this is the same institution at which he did his his PhD.
Many of you know personally what it is to be seeing or hearing impaired. In an era of flatlining funding for scientific research and clinicial trials, volunteer fundraising is of the upmost importance. At Mass. Eye and Ear, they treat everything that has to do with the eyes, ears, nose, throat, head and neck - so that you and those you care about can get more out of the world around us.
Please help me to run the 26.2 miles from Framingham to Copley Square. Every dollar counts. Give me and the many impacted by Mass Eye and Ear, from Cambridge to Ecuador, a wonderful GRADUATION PRESENT! Thank you for your support in getting me to the finish line on April 15th!
