BENEFITING: Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary
ORGANIZER: Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary
EVENT: 2016 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 18, 2016
I am so proud and excited to be running the Boston marathon this year for Mass Eye and Ear. As a college student I was lucky to have the opportunity to work on the pediatric floor as a nursing assistant. Now six years later I am back working as a nurse in multiple departments. I've had the opportunity to see and be a part of the amazing things that the physicians and staff at Mass Eye and Ear do. I will specifically be running for Operation Airway, an amazing organization that allows for children to speak and breathe without the use of a trach.
Massachusetts Eye and Ear clinicians and scientists are driven by a mission to find cures for blindness, deafness and diseases of the head and neck.
Each year almost 300,000 people - adults and children - from more than 80 countries seek care at Mass. Eye and Ear and more than 20,000 of them undergo life-changing surgery.
