THE STORY:

****If you'd like a team shirt and donated $25 dollars or more, please include the size T-shirt and gender you would like!! Also, an E-mail so I can reach out to you for your address!****

-------------------------------

My name is Chase Ryan Knight; I am a former SGT of the United States Army living in Kansas City, MO with my wife and children. I'm a fitness instructor at a Core Athletic in Riverside, MO and also a small business owner. I opened my business in hopes of using part of my profits to help other veterans, who get out of the service, and have a hard time affording the memberships at facilities like the one I coach at.

The reason why I created this fundraiser was to help with costs for my team that we’ll enviably encounter traveling and staying in California for the GRID League Invitational. The NPGL, or National Pro Grid League, is the first co-ed based sport that has men and women competing on the floor together in order to win physical fitness based matches. The GRID Invitational is an open competition to home grown teams for a chance to compete live in front of thousands of fans and the professional teams themselves. Our team is made up of some amazing athletes but we are spread across the nation and need help offsetting our costs to traveling to and staying in Anaheim, CA.

Not only will this fundraiser help with traveling and living expenses. It is also intended to help raise money for veterans, current and former. For every dollar we receive, I will be using 20% of all proceeds raised to donate to a veteran based organization that helps recovering vets with getting back in shape through physical fitness events and my team will be putting together care packages for deployed units.

If you donate $25.00 or more you will receive a team shirt like we will be wearing at the competition. If someone donates $50 or more then I will also include two FIF shirts to be included in the care package to be sent over. This way deployed service members can have some new training apparel and can rep their favorite team all the way from overseas! For every $100 dollars donated, we’ll put together a care package full or the essentials to send overseas as well. At the end of August I will make a list of all the fan shirts to be produced and ship them out as soon as possible, along with the care packages!

Coming off active duty and adjusting to civilian life was the hardest transition I've ever had to make. It wasn't until I found my community within my gym that I began to finally let myself be happy again. The community aspect that veterans receive in functional fitness facilities is an insurmountable force in keeping us level headed. I want nothing more than to give other veterans like myself, the same opportunity I have on a daily basis. This GRID invitational is a blessing in disguise; it has allowed me to get more awareness out there for veterans and it has become a way for me to reach out and help the community that once felt like my closest family.

Thank you for your donation and continued support. If you want to show your support even more, please go to https://www.gridinvitational.com/sign_up/fan/fitness-isnt-free and sign up as fan. It’s completely free and it will help us secure a slot to the invitational with every new fan we receive.
