BENEFITING: ST PETER-ST JOSEPH CHILDRENS HOME
EVENT DATE: Jun 14, 2015
As a father of two daughters (and another on the way), Barrett is excited for the opportunity to work with his nephew, Gavin, in the League of Heroes and bond over “guy stuff.” Gavin wants to be hero for the children of St. PJ’s so he can “help buy toys for all the kids.” If he could have a superpower, he would use his Wolverine strong claws to fight villains and help the good guys win. Good guy Uncle Barrett knows the importance of being a positive male role model to his nephews. “Men are extremely important in giving boys messages about being a man. Men teach boys how to shoulder responsibility, the value of hard work and determination, how to show respect for women and girls, and the responsibilities of one day being a father and supporting a family.” His favorite heroes are athletes Michael Jordan and Jerry Rice because they exemplify the greatness that can be achieved through hard work and dedication. Together, Gavin and his uncle love to swim, run, and play any and all sports.
