BENEFITING: National Fragile X Foundation
EVENT DATE: Nov 16, 2013
3 years ago, Gideon was diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome. At the time, we knew nothing about Fragile X except that 1 of my cousins had it. Since then, we have learned a ton but still go places and meet people often who say, "what is fragile x?" There is still so much awareness and hope to spread.
Meeting others who have children with Fragile X and joining a support group has been a lifeline for us. Our goal is to spread awareness and hope so families know they are not alone in this walk. We are all in this together.
We hope you can make it and come walk with us November 16th as we walk to spread awareness about Fragile X Syndrome. If you can't make it on the walk day, we would love for you to buy a t-shirt and spread awareness where you are or by donating to support Team Gideon and the other families who are affected by Fragile X. Your support is greatly appreciated!
All the funds raised go to support the local groups in San Antonio and Houston as we work to help individuals and families affected by Fragile X. We help families attend conferences, go to seminars, hold informational meetings, and support research that will hopefully one day find a cure.
The San Antonio Walk will be held on Saturday, November 16th at Woodlawn Lake Park. Registration will open at 8:30am and the walk will begin at 9:30am.
