Girl Up is running the 2013 AJC Peachtree Road Race in support of adolescent girls around the world.
Girl Up, a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, mobilizes American girls to raise awareness and funds for UN programs that provide girls around the world with life-changing opportunities like the chance to go to school, see a doctor, and stay safe from violence.
By supporting the Girl Up Peachtree Team, you will be part of a movement of more than 300,000 supporters and 300 Girl Up Clubs from around the world who are standing up to say that girls everywhere matter. Your efforts will make a direct impact in ensuring that adolescent girls in developing countries – Ethiopia, Guatemala, Liberia and Malawi – can reach their full potential.
The impact of $85 a year can help change a girl's life forever. Your donation will help provide an adolescent girl with the tools she needs to get an education, stay healthy and gain valuable leadership skills. Some of these resources include:
Books, uniforms and school supplies ($13)
Access to clean water and sanitation ($15)
Solar lamps and safe spaces ($38)
Leadership and mentorship opportunities ($9)
Community plans that involve girls ($10)
While we are strong alone, together we are stronger. And together, we will change the world. Learn more at GirlUp.org.
