BENEFITING: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
I'm the team captain of the 2012 Light The Night Walk in Verona Park, NJ, which benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This is my second year doing this and I can honestly say it has been one of the best experiences of my life. To feel the positive effect you are bringing to people and seeing others share kindness and stories about battling through this disease, it's truly a test to show how incredible the human spirit can really be. I'm looking to raise even more money this year for the walk and most importantly the cause.
This non-profit is super important to me and many others looking to find a cure. I was blessed to have an amazing friend in my life such as Giulio. He was funny, kind and full of life. Giulio passed away 6 years ago to Leukemia. He was 19 at the time.
To me, this is more than just a fundraiser, this is a piece of me. I know that I can't bring Giulio back, but maybe I can help someone else get their life back by providing funds to get proper treatments.
Let's make a difference, together.
