EVENT: 2014 GO! FOR A CAUSE
EVENT DATE: Apr 05, 2014
I'm emailing you for about nineteen reasons. Actually, just one reason. I'm raising money for the most amazing cause and I really want you to Sponsor me.
Please support me and Donate to My Cause. http://www.crowdrise.com/teamgostlouis2014/fundraiser/stevegallant
I'm running in this year's GO! St. Louis Marathon on Sunday, April 6 to support an organization called Cultural Leadership. www.culturalleadership.org I'll be running a 6-7 mile leg of the marathon course. This will be the final preparation of my next adventure, The Heartland 39.3 which is 3 half-marathons in five weeks. While I am certain you think I am crazy, I am running the relay to support a cause that is important to me and for that I need your help!
I'm running because I'm committed to ending racism. Now, more than ever, we need to put an end to the stereotyping and bigotry that ends in violence, that ends in discrimination and that ends in segregated schools and communities.
Join me in a Race to End Racism as I raise awareness of the issues and funds to support an organization training the kind of future leaders our nation desperately needs. Cultural Leadership trains high school students to be change agents, social justice activists and "troublemakers of the very best kind." As many of you know, Richie participated in Cultural Leadership many years ago. he learned many important values that he carries with him to this day and for which I will be forever grateful.
Please demonstrate your commitment to inclusion and social justice in our region and beyond by making a donation today.
It's so fast and easy you won't even believe it, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support.
If you have any questions, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
