APRIL 16, 2012 - MARATHON MONDAY IN BOSTON WITH GRASSROOT SOCCER
This may be one of the craziest gametime decisions I've ever made, but how could I have passed up the opportunity to run the illustrious BOSTON MARATHON as part of the GRASSROOT SOCCER team??
I'll be running on less than two months of training, but I'm WICKED psyched to dig my feet into home soil on the best day of the year - MARATHON MONDAY!!!
I BELIVE IN GRASSROOT SOCCER. In a world where more than 7,000 people die of AIDS each day, GRS uses the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize communities in Africa to prevent HIV and AIDS. The organization has educated more than 480,000 youth and millions more through outreach efforts.
Soccer is a UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE, through which GRS can help turn the tide against HIV and AIDS.
There is much more work to be done -- please consider donating to help us reach 1 million youth with life-saving education by 2014. Each dollar is put to use in reaching the most at-risk youth in Africa with the best possible prevention education.
HELP ME GET TO MY FUNDRAISING GOAL OF $5,000!!!
You can click the orange DONATE button above or make an offline donation by sending a check directly to Grassroot Soccer PO Box 712 Norwich, VT 05055 (remember to note my name in the memo line!).
