The Hall STEPS Foundation is fielding a team of runners at the 2011 New York City Marathon, which will be held in New York, NY, on Sunday, November 6. We want you on our team!
Are you already registered for the marathon but without a charity? Join us! Run with STEPS and help fight global poverty.
The first FIVE runners to commit to running with STEPS in NYC will be Ryan & Sara Hall’s personal guests at the New York Athletic Club’s pasta dinner on Friday, November 4, at which Ryan will be the keynote speaker. It's a rare opportunity that we're able to offer such a special perk as part of race weekend, and it comes at no cost to our runners.
The New York City Marathon has a charity fund-raising minimum goal of $2,500. The fund-raising window will remain open a full month *after* the marathon, so you’ll have plenty of time. Of course, we encourage you to set your goal even higher!

In honor of Olympic Marathon Champion Sammy Wanjiru, our Fall 2011 grants will go toward fighting poverty through health in Kenya. Ryan & Sara are traveling to Kenya next year to train and explore opportunities for STEPS to fight poverty throughout Africa.
Earlier this year, STEPS committed a grant to professional runner and STEPS friend, Wesley Korir, to build a hospital in his home village in Kenya’s Rift Valley. Ryan & Wes are sending a message that world-class runners can compete on the roads and join forces for a great cause after the race!
IMPORTANT: You must *already* be registered for the 2011 New York City Marathon in order to run with STEPS.
