Landmines have been a tool of warfare for as long as anyone can remember, and because of that, there are unexploded mines lying in the ground all over the world. But landmines don't only explode when combatants step on them...they explode when anyone steps on them. In war torn countries all over the globe, women, children, and the completely innocent are constantly at risk of stepping on one of these thousands of leftover landmines that have been planted over decades.
The HALO Trust is doing some amazing work by removing these landmines in 14 countries that are in desperate need of assistance. Now I'm running the Marine Corps Marathon on October 27th so that HALO Trust can keep saving lives every single day.
