~~ I am running the Go! St. Louis Marathon (26.2mi) this year on Team Haven House. Team Haven House is attempting to raise money to support the HavenHouse St. Louis ( www.havenhouse.org ), a non-profit organization that gives families a place to stay and eat when they have extended and/or multiple medical visits in the St. Louis, Missouri area.
With my youngest son, Holden, being born blind with infintile cataracts and having already went through five eye surgeries by 19 months old, the Haven House has been a blessing to our family. So, running this marathon and asking you to contribute to my fundraising for the HavenHouse St. Louis, is the least I can do for them on behalf of my son Holden, and my family, to tell them thank you for what they have done for us to make things easier and affordable while restoring my son's eye sight. They have helped us a great deal and made the visits for surgery so much easier with a staff that goes above and beyond even what you would expect.
My goal is to raise $500 before April 6th (race day) I and am asking for everybody to contribute what they can afford to help me reach this goal. I would appreciate any help you can provide no matter the size. The HavenHouse provides many things to the people that stay there that make things much more bearable with hot meals, a place to wash clothes, private rooms, coffee, and areas for recreation. So your donation will help them to continue this work, and along side your donation, I will run the 26.2 miles as a way to say Thank you on behalf of my son who can not tell them thank you himself.
