Hi, Thanks for viewing my page!
A quick note of thanks to all who supported us for the past 3 marathons! You are amazing!!
My 7 year daughter Skyla Rose has been living with Pediatric Crohn's Disease since she was 4 years old. Since her diagnose, my family has learned so much about this disease and are so greatful that we found the Children's IBD clinic and Doctor Benkov's care, as well as all of the staff who have been so amazingly supportive!!
This will be my 4th consecutive year running with IBDkids in the NYC Marathon, and I am so happy for all the support we have received these past years and for the generous donations to this amazing cause! I feel as though this journey has brought my family together closer together and the privilege getting to know others with IBD and their families, has made all the difference.
See you on the road!! -Andy
Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai wrote - Everyone running for Team IBDkids knows that Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, together known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease or “IBD”, are tough on kids. The Children’s IBD Program at Mount Sinai works every day to help these kids and their families cope and live normal, productive lives. IBD is a chronic, life-long disease. There is no known cure, its causes are only partially understood, and it can be debilitating. But you can help. You can make our marathon run count. Your donation to Team IBDkids will be used to fund research into the cause and treatments of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and for support and education programs serving children with IBD and their families.
