BENEFITING: The MGH Institute of Health Professions, Inc.
EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
My dream of completing the Boston Marathon stems from not only my love of running, but from the drive to better myself and the world around me. I have been a runner for as long as I can remember, back when my Dad used to take me on trail runs early on Saturday mornings. Running brings me peace of mind and has taught me mindfulness, patience and tranquility. This coming May I will be graduating with my Bachelors in Nursing and will begin a wonderful career and pursue my calling to serve others. Running and nursing are tightly connected for me as you can never fully master either one. They require a process that will never fully be satisfied or finished as there is always more to learn, and always more to gain.
My Dad was a passionate man who lived his life to serve and help others. He attended MGH Institute of Health Professions and earned his doctorate just one month before succumbing to metastatic bone cancer. His dedication, compassion, and perserverance have served as a beacon for me as I have struggled to find my own path. I run for him, for my school, and for all those who have a desire to make a difference in the world!
My goal is to raise $6000! Please consider donating, not just for me, but in honor of my Dad, the IHP community, and those who are seeking to better themselves and the world around them!
