Dear Family, Friends and Loved Ones,
I'm running the NYC half marathon in March. I never thought I'd run a race like this, yet here I am, all because of a great cause that I'll hope you'll help support.
I recently started volunteering with a nonprofit called CampInteractive, where we're inspiring the next generation of tech entrepreneurs from under-resourced communities like the Bronx in NYC. These kids learn how to code and build websites after school and then intern at awesome startups in the summer. The empowering stories that come out of this program are incredible, and I'm running this race and raising money so that we can do more programming and reach more kids.
To make this a little more fun, and to show my overwhelming gratitude for any generous donations, I've set up a few drop-dead-awesome incentives. Donate and feel my endless gratitude (at each tier you get that perk, plus all the perks from the lower tiers):
$25+: Get a raceday photo printed and mailed to you.
$50+: Get a raceday video mid-run (at one of the mile markers) expressing my undying gratitude and admiration.
$75+: Get a personalized video with me telling you my 3 favorite things about you. (Feel free to wire it at waywire.com!)
$100+: Get your name on my raceday outfit. Details TBD, but yep, I'll be branded… with you.
Most importantly, your donation goes toward teaching a kid how to be part of a world that could change his/her life. It's amazing to see how these kids learn and grow from this program, and I'd love for you to be a part of that. Check out how cool these kids are: http://www.waywire.com/
Please donate here and help teach a kid to code!
Thanks, and much love,
