Event: 120 4 Orphans
A 120-mile, two-day bicycle ride on October 11-12.
This Year’s Project is a great one: We plan to fund the clean water project for Destiny Village orphanage in Pierre Payen, Haiti. The orphanage is right on the coast and all of their water is brackish (salt water). Right now the directors drive their truck to town and purchase drinking water for the 40 plus children. In addition, the salt in the water destroys their washing machines, etc. We plan to install a desalinization system that will provide clean water for beautiful kids of Destiny Village. We need to raise about $10,000 for this project!
The date for the 120 for Orphans is Thursday and Friday, October 11 and 12. We will ride the all-paved Withlacooche Trail, beginning and ending in Inverness, Florida. It should be a great ride! We will provide a support vehicle, and we will share snacks and fresh water. We will not have a mechanic or bicycle supplies - you will need to come prepared. We will ride 60 miles on both days so a moderate level of training and fitness is recommended.
Registration cost: $25.
We hope that all riders will be fundraisers. The registration fee only covers the cost of the event.
We have reserved a few hotel rooms in Inverness for the 11th. You will be responsible for the cost but some riders may want to consider sharing a room and the costs. We will leave that coordination up to you but let me know if you want a room. You can bring a friend or two if you like!

Thank for caring about orphans and for doing something to improve their lives.
Last year’s event raised over $15,000. 100% of the donations go to the children - no administration costs.
