Dear Family and Friends,
This fall marks the beginning of the Fourth Annual Rivals United for a Kure Campaign benefiting Kure It Cancer Research! This initiative brings the Trojan and Bruin communities together in support of innovative and vital research for underfunded cancers at the UCLA Jonsson and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Centers. I am excited to be a part of this team, and I hope that you will support me in my efforts by making a donation today.
As many of you know, I’ve been receiving treatments from the team at USC and I’ve seen first-hand the need to fund their research. My longtime friend and colleague Barry Hoeven, founder of US Storage Centers, formed Kure It back in 2007 after his cancer diagnosis because there is a severe shortage of funding for the doctors researching many forms of this disease.
This is a wonderful cause and your donation will go directly to the researchers at USC and UCLA. Your contribution at any amount is greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance for your support. Let’s make cancer a disease of the past.
More about Rivals United For a Kure
The greater Los Angeles community is a city divided but each year we unite for a higher cause that touches us all. Today, cancer research is at a critical crossroads with innovation on the rise yet budget reductions becoming more severe. Separated by a mere 20 miles, USC Norris and UCLA Jonsson are two of the best research institutions in the world, dedicated to studying the patterns, causes and controls of all cancers. And we are proud to continue supporting these doctors as they collaborate on translational and impactful research.
Join us in our vision of a cancer-free future. This fall, our goal is to raise $500,000 during the Rivals United campaign, culminating in the Fourth Annual Rivals United for a Kure Gala on Sunday, Nov. 22 at City Club Los Angeles in City National Plaza. Your contributions today will make a difference in the lives of cancer patients now and for all the tomorrows to come. Together, we will win!
