I am running a marathon in every state in fewer than three years. I have completed 49 states in 2 years and 9 months. I grew up in Massachusetts and I am a huge Boston sports fan. My goal is to finish my 50th state in the 2013 Boston Marathon. I am honored to run for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation in 2013! I am indebted to Tommy Leonard for an invitational application to run Boston in April.
I chose to run for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation because I believe that the work they do is incredible. No one should have to worry if they will have a roof over their head or can feed their family while they are battling for their life. Please know that you are supporting an amazing cause by supporting me in running 50 marathons.
Photos: #1: My current status map; #2: At the finish of my first ever marathon with my good friend Carrie in Boulder CO; #3 Myself and Keith Wood at the finish of the Pikes Peak Ascent. He was the oldest competitor in Boston last year at the age of 84; #4: Myself and Matt Carpenter. He holds the record in several high altitude races. He won the Pikes Peak Marathon at the age of 47...beating the young guys by a lot....His record time is 3:16. That's with a 7,815 foot climb to 14,110 feet followed by the same descent.
