JOHNS HOPKINS DEPT. OF NEUROSURGERY is a super cool and passionate group of runners who are teaming up with Runner's World to raise lots and lots of money for the Johns Hopkins University to help find a cure for brain cancer.
The Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Brain Tumor Center in Baltimore, Maryland, is one of the largest brain tumor treatment and research centers in the world. They treat an extremely large number of patients affected by all types of brain tumors. They tailor the best and most advanced therapies that each unique tumor demands.

Cathy writes: As a doctor, I can tell you that the research coming from Johns Hopkins Neurosurgery is outstanding, particularly the immunotherapy of brain tumors. I'm glad for the opportunity to help raise money for this cause, with the hope that one day we will be able to treat cancer as a manageable illness, rather than a fatal disease.
