This September I am joining work colleagues from across the globe for a difficult five-day trek across Icelandic lava fields. The trails are tough and varied, and the trek will require walking about 10-12 hours each day over rocky and sometimes steep terrain.
The impetus for this event is to raise awareness and funds for the plight of children around the world. Each hiker covers their own costs and then also commits to raising money to help support UNICEF's work on behalf of children worldwide.
UNICEF works in more than 190 countries to save and improve kids' lives, providing health care, immunizations, clear water and sanitation, nutrition, eduction, emergency relief, and more.
Together, we are working toward the day when ZERO children die from preventable causes and every child has a safe and healthy childhood.

Please also remember that Hilary and I will be contributing a 50% match to whatever donation you choose to give!
Thanks so much for considering supporting me and UNICEF.
