BENEFITING: Hope Water Project
ORGANIZER: Hope Water Project
EVENT: Assenmacher 100
EVENT DATE: Aug 21, 2016
So happy to be back for my fourth year, supporting the Hope Water Project, and the wonderful people of the Pokot tribe from Norhtwest Kenya.
This year I am training and participating in two events, the first - a hundred mile bike ride - the Assenmacher 100, the second - a twenty six mile run - the Grand Rapid's Marathon.
While both events will be physically and mentally challenging, neither can compare to the challenges that the men and women of Pokot face each day in their constant struggle for the most basic esentials in life, clean drinking water.
As some of you know, I had the priviledge of traveling to Kenya this August to observe first hand what the people of Pokot face everyday. We spent a week observing first hand the impact that clean drinking water can have on a group of people that are otherwise forgotten... What a life changing experience, while difficult to capture in words, observing people with so little yet filled with pure joy is an image that will never leave my mind.
Please considering joining me in supporting the Pokot, a donation of $24 will provide water for life from one person, my goal this year is to raise enough money to provide water for one hundred Pokot. Thank you in advance for your generosity, If you would rather not donate plesase keep the Pokot in your prays...
