EVENT DATE: Mar 17, 2013
After taking a turn down a wrong street in an industrial area near my home in 2008, I saw several small, thin kittens running around and eating pizza crusts. I quickly learned about feral cats in Los Angeles and trapped and socialized these little guys fast! The people at Kitten Rescue were so helpful to me in ensuring the kittens received proper medical care and that I had information, resources and could help prepare these riley little ones for permanent homes!
Over the last few years, Kitten Rescue volunteers have walked me through how to tube feed sick puppies late at night, fought with me to save dog families with dreaded distemper, given advice on first aid for injured wildlife, and gone way out of their way to deliver meds and babysit my fosters. I can't say enough nice things about this group of people!
For the last 4 years, I have volunteered with Kitten Rescue, placing kittens, cats, puppies, dogs, even a couple of rabbits! It is such a knowledgeable group of nearly 400 volunteers who really support and help one another - all for the benefit of our four legged friends!
Why sponsor me and Team Kitten Rescue? Because you will be helping save the lives of critters who would otherwise not have a chance. Kitten Rescue relies on donations from the public to save the animals and pay for their veterinary care. The more money we raise, the more lives we can save! So please sponsor me today! If you need an additional tax write off, here's your solution! We are a 501c3 organization. You can donate directly on this page, and the amount will be displayed. Or you can write a check to Kitten Rescue and I can provide my mailing address. No amount is too small - each and every dollar goes directly to the animals.
What is Kitten Rescue? Kitten Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that was founded in 1997, and that has now grown into one of the most respected animal welfare groups in Los Angeles. Each year, our volunteers place over 1,000 cats and dogs into new homes. Since our inception, we have placed over 12,000 animals into loving homes! [To see where the cats we save come from, please click here.]
Who are our volunteers? Kitten Rescue is comprised of dedicated volunteers who devote much of their time to helping homeless animals, while juggling their own families, jobs, and lives as best as they can! At any given time you may find them bottle feeding orphaned kittens, nursing sick dogs and cats to health, visiting high-kill shelter to save whoever possible, running back and forth to veterinary clinics, trapping feral cats for spay/neuter, feeding feral cats, taming feral kittens, rehabilitating animals with behavioral issues, taking foster animals to adoption events, or delivering animals to their forever homes.
ON BEHALF OF THE HOMELESS CATS AND DOGS WHO YOU WILL BE HELPING SAVE, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
