I am running for Aspen to raise money for his surgery and post surgery. ] Talia met Aspen when he was 8 weeks old at the vets office when his family was bringing him in to have him euthanized. Upon asking what was wrong with this seemingly fine kitten, she was informed that he had a broken femur and the family was unable to pay for his surgery. This seemed crazy, so she stopped the girl from signing the euthanization papers and asked the vet to keep him there for a few days so money could be raised for his surgery. She immediately contacted Kitten Rescue, as she was fostering kittens for them at the time. Everyone was fantastic, and in less than a week's time, most of the money was raised and Aspen went in for his surgery. Aspen has such an amazing spirit and is so sweet and spunky. He never let the fact that he was in a cast phase him--he played just like the other kittens and was the model patient. Everytime she would go to pick him up from a vet appointment, the vet techs would tell me what a fantastic kitten he was. And recently, Aspen was adopted! A friend of hers and her fiance take care of her pets when she is out of town and fell absolutely in love with the little guy. So a happy end for Aspen!
