Our Sweet Leseley peacefully passed away Saturday Aug 5 surrounded by family and friends
August 06, 2017
EVENT DATE Apr 07, 2015
UPDATE: Leseley's cancer came back last year after a few months off of chemo treatments. She's been steadily on chemo with three weeks of chemo and one week off a month over the last 5 months. Her femur bone is fractured and will have an operation on March 1. She will recover for 3 to 4 weeks w/out chemo, but soon after start the chemo treatments with the same regiment above. Her medical costs have gone through the roof even with insurance. If you cannot make the benefit on March 9, 2017 at Growlers from 4 pm to 11 pm, please donate here if you can. Any amount helps.
Backstory: On December 3, 2014, our sweet, adorable loving friend Leseley Wright was diagnosed with Stage 2 triple negative Breast Cancer at the tender age of 40. Leseley’s, Aunt Kaye, (whom Leseley was named after) was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at 48 and unfortuantely passed away at the very young age of 51 in 1998. Earlier, in May 9, 2014, Leseley fell and broke her ankle in two different places and was hospitalized for over 2 weeks. After Leseley broke her ankle, her employer was amazing and allowed her to work from home due to the lack of immobility to walk. Despite these unfortunate set backs, Leseley is one of the most amazing cancer fighter’s we’ve ever seen. Leseley always has a sweet, sometimes mischievous smile on her face and literally wears her heart on her sleeve. We all like to cheer and say *UCK CANCER!! Most days, she’s always in the best of spirits, but there are some days she struggles and rests with her adorable, spoiled, beautiful dog Murphy. Our sweet Leseley looks forward to ringing “The Bell” after her 8th and last chemotherapy appointment on April 20, 2015. After chemotherapy, Leseley will undergo lumpectomy surgery to remove the mass from her right breast in mid May. After a few weeks of recovery from surgery, Leseley will start radiation for 4-8 weeks. For the last 11 months, Leseley has experienced many hospitals visits, doctors as well as a significant financial burden. Her road to recovery is on its way, but it’s not over yet. Team Leseley is her foundation of family and dearest friends. Please help us raise funds to help Leseley with her medical expenses and she has a Dream/Wish to visit Norway and Sweden.
Thanks y’all for your time & consideration.
