It is with great sadness that I inform you my beloved father, Lew, has passed away from ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). To honor, love, and support him, as well as the countless others who have been diagnosed with this disease, I’m participating in the “Walk to Defeat ALS” on June 10th in Westchester, NY, on what would have been my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. I need your help by joining my team and/or making a contribution to fight ALS!
ALS is a fatal, neuromuscular disease. Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS. The deadly disease attacks the motor neurons of the brain and spinal cord making even the simplest movements of walking, speaking, swallowing, and eventually breathing impossible. Ultimately the body becomes paralyzed, yet through it all, the mind usually remains unaffected.
And that's why I’m walking – for those who can’t. I'm helping The ALS Association fund research to find the cause and cure of Lou Gehrig’s Disease, as well as fund crucial patient service programs. Funds raised will support those programs.
By making a tax-deductible donation, you can truly make a difference in the fight against ALS. Please visit my online fundraising website and donate on-line at
or send your contribution to me at 24 Old Barlow Mtn. Rd. Ridgefield, CT 06877. You can also mail it to The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter (42 Broadway, Suite 1724, New York, NY 10004). Checks payable to The ALS Association, TEAM LEW in the memo line.
Please help by making a donation, large or small to fight ALS. With your support, we can make a positive impact today in the lives of those living with ALS. Many thanks for your help!
