RALLY FOUNDATION.ORG wrote -Did you know that each school day, 46 children are diagnosed with cancer? This staggering statistic shows just how many children are affected and how many families are touched by such terrible diseases each year. Since 2005, the Rally Foundation has set forth to not only support the children currently battling this illness, but also to fund research and grants for better treatment and hopefully one day cure childhood cancer.
In April, I have the honor to be running the Nashville Country Music Half marathon for one courageous little girl, Ms. Livi Graham. At just five years old, Livi was diagnosed with B cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on May 1, 2013. She loves princesses, being outside, singing and dancing and has a smile that can melt your heart. My hope for Livi is that she gets the best treatment available and that advancements are made to treat her and other children on her same journey to being well.
I was touched recently by a post that Livi's mom made on her CaringBridge journal where she mentioned the following quote, "Grace meets us where we are at, but it will never leave us where it found us." Such inspiring words from a family who has been through so much in the last year. I have know doubt that the Rally Foundation and the research it supports will continue to lead these children into a much better place and a better tomorrow. Please help me support Livi, the Grahams, & the Rally Foundation through your kind and generous donations. Every dollar counts, no donation is too small.
