Hi! I'm a second year veterinary student at Cornell University who loves traveling, animals, doing community service, and meeting new people. That fits very nicely into my latest do-good endevour: providing FREE veterinary services for the people of Lower Brule and Pine Ridge, South Dakota. The Lakota people love their animals as much as you do, but cannot afford veterinary care as simple as vaccines that could prevent life threatening diseases such as rabies and distemper. Veterinary clinics are far away and often hard to get to.
That's where we come in. I will be spending 2 weeks coming to THEM! I'm excited to get the chance to immerse myself in this new culture, see diseases that most people think are a thing of the past, spay some dogs, and vaccinate some kittens. I'm asking for YOUR help to bring this veterinary care to them. Your donation will ensure that a puppy can be vaccinated against parvovirus, distemper, hepitis, and parainfluenza, that a kitten can be spayed so she doesn't have to struggle to feed a litter of kittens every year, and that these people can enjoy the companionship of their pets for many years to come. Please consider helping out!
