Thank you so much for visiting our page! I'm excited to share our story with you. Being a mentor with iMentor is a very special and important aspect of my life.
Through iMentor, I met Priscilla in November 2012 and I instantly fell in love with her. She's amazing, spunky, smart, a hip-hop dancer, confident, generous and caring.
Right now, Priscilla is a Freshman in highschool; she's the oldest of three children. She plans to graduate highschool and college. She eventually will be a veterinarian and will provide for her family. I will support Priscilla in achieving these goals in every way I possibly can!
Together, you and I as champions for Priscilla and her fellow mentees can assist children in achieving their goals and brighter futures. Here's how you can support: share our story with your friends/colleagues, donate whatever you're comfortable donating ($10 - you name it!), and spread the word about iMentor.
I appreciate any help you can offer!
iMentor builds mentoring relationships that empower students in low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions.
Students and mentors work one-on-one through iMentor’s online and in-person curriculum to navigate the college application process and build critical skills linked to college success. In New York City, iMentor partners with public schools to ensure every student in the school receives a mentor.
Since 1999, iMentor has connected 11,000 students in New York City with mentors, and will match more than 2,400 mentor-mentee pairs this year. iMentor also provides its curriculum, technology, and best practices to nonprofits nationwide to help them run effective mentoring programs in the iMentor model.
