As many of you know, I am a mentor to Ambiorix, a New York City high school freshman. iMentor provides youth in low-income communities with college-educated mentors who help students develop the leadership, academic, and social skills needed to succeed in high school and college. This year, 2,400 New York City high school students will work one-on-one with their mentors to build a bright future.
Ambiorix and I began our four year journey together this past September through weekly email exchanges and meetings periodically throughout the month. Ambiorix is a charasmatic student athlete at Manhattan Bridges High School. He loves computers, baseball and spending time with his friends and family. Our next four years together will span Ambiorix's high school career, with us working to see Ambiorix's goals of graduating college and playing professional baseball to fruition. Every week, Ambiorix's passion for achieving these goals pour through his mails. It is an honor and pleasure to provide my insight into these realms.
The Donor Drive is about Ambiorix, and the thousands of students like him who have the potential to do great things. For each mentor-mentee pair, it costs iMentor $1,000 to provide them with free access to technology tools, events, and staff support to help build strong mentoring relationships. Whether you help with $10 or $1,000, you can be part of a network of individuals making a lasting investment in the life of a high school student like Amborix.
Thank you for whatever support you can provide, whether it be in the form of donation or future involvement with iMentor!

iMentor builds mentoring relationships that empower students in low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions.
Students and mentors work one-on-one through iMentor’s online and in-person curriculum to navigate the college application process and build critical skills linked to college success. In New York City, iMentor partners with public schools to ensure every student in the school receives a mentor.
Since 1999, iMentor has connected 11,000 students in New York City with mentors, and will match more than 2,400 mentor-mentee pairs this year. iMentor also provides its curriculum, technology, and best practices to nonprofits nationwide to help them run effective mentoring programs in the iMentor model.
