Please join Team Marley Sunday May 5th! This is our fourth year participating in the Delta Gamma Centers Run for Sight!
Marley is a very happy and loving 4 year old girl who has overcome many challenges throughout her life. When Marley was almost 5 months old I began to notice some developmental delays, she was unable to roll over & had difficulty lifting her head. It was also around this time that I began to notice Marley's eyes; she avoided eye contact, never seemed to look at faces and only focused on lights. Marley began seeing an Ophthalmologist & at 8 months old her eye began to show signs of cross eyes & Dr. Goodrich scheduled her for Strabismus surgery. Marley’s surgery has made a remarkable difference in her vision. She was diagnosed with Cortical Visual Impairment at age 2. Marley still seems to have difficulty with close up objects and wears glasses to help with that. Marley benefits the most from receiving Vision therapy from Delta Gamma for children with visual impairment and attending Explorers playgroup.
