My name is Adam Conti and this is my first marathon. I am a Nursing Assistant at Northshore Medical Center's Salem Hospital Emergency Room. I have the privilege of working along-side some incredible people. Two of which have inspired me to take on this marathon. Pasty Emberley and Kate Crowley are nurses, avid runners, and my good friends. They ran Boston with the MGH team several years ago. They told me touching stories about their expericences with the team and being involved with the Patient-Partner Program.
Since getting involved with the MGH team I've met more amazing people, everyone running the marathon for their own reason. But when it comes down to it we're all here for one reason, the kids. Every dollar donated helps these children with their treatment. Each step taken during training is to give these kids a chance. So far the support I've recieved has been overwhelming, but we still have a ways to go till the marathon. No donation is too small, whether its $10.00 or a $100.00 its going toward a truly noble cause. Thank you everyone for your support and I'll be thinking of every one of you come race day.

The Mass General Marathon Team Fighting Kids' Cancer ... One Step at a Time was established in 1998 and has raised nearly $8 million in support of the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at MassGeneral Hospital for Children. Thanks to the generous support of John Hancock Financial and other partners, we will continue to run until we find a cure … One Step at a Time.
