I am running the NYC marathon for my mom, M'Evie, and SU2C. Along with my 2 sisters, cousin and uncle all of us will be braving 26.2 in Nov to carry on her memory and hopefully raise a lot of money along the way...
My mom was diagnosed with an agressive stage 3 breast cancer seven years ago. Without flinching, she fought it and beat it. Unfortunately a year ago, she was diagnosed with a recurrence of breast cancer that spread to her central nervous system resulting in carcinomatous meningitis. In a matter of 4 weeks, she went from an active devoted mother, grandmother, teacher and friend to a person with an aggressive, debilitating illness. She passed away loved by so many after only a month.
We decided to create Team M’Evie to help raise a lot of money to hopefully prevent people finding themselves in the position that my mom did. She was one of the most selfless people I knew and would love that we are carrying on her legacy by helping others.
If you are reading this awesome - thats the first step! Now donate something! Doesn't have to be a lot - every dollar helps!
Thank you for your support!
