BENEFITING: COURAGE WORLDWIDE, INC.
EVENT DATE: Apr 13, 2014
Aloha friends and family!
I am on a path to total New Year's resolution domination...I am running my FIRST half marathon on April 13th! The race is called the Hapalua, which means half in Hawaiian. I hope you'll send me some encouraging thoughts as I continue to train in the weeks ahead. (Any of you social networky runners - find me on the "map my hike" ap.)
More importantly, I have partnered with a growing charity called Courage House Hawaii to raise money through my participation in the half marathon. Courage House Hawaii is a branch of Courage Worldwide, which seeks to build safe places of refuge for victims of sex trafficking, many of whom are children. The following excerpt from their website can give you an idea of what they're all about:
"The issue of child sex trafficking is global and growing. It is our passion and vision to build Courage Houses in every city around the world that needs one so rescued children will have a safe place to call home. With locations open in Northern California and Tanzania, and with efforts underway to build a Courage House in Hawaii, we are committed to not only rescuing child victims of sex trafficking, but also to restoring their lives."

THANK YOU VERY MUCH or should I say MAHALO NUI LOA for taking the time to visit my page to learn more about Courage House Hawaii, and PLEASE consider making a donation of ANY AMOUNT to this worthy cause.
I hope you are all having a very HAPPY new year so far!
