Parkinson's disease can affect anyone. It is estimated that 50,000 to 60,000 Americans are diagnosed each year, and countrywide at least 500,000 suffer from the disease. Due to the difficulty of assesing symptoms, it is believed that the actual prevalence of Parkinson's Disease is higher than these estimates.
Advances in treatment and diagnosis over the years has meant that a Parkinson's diagnosis does not mean what it once did. But there is still no cure, and these advances will only continue if researchers are supplied with the funding they need.
Please consider making a donation toward the fight to beat Parkinson's Disease. Your support gives Parkinson's sufferers strength to continue their own personal fight, and the fight to find a cure.
