I've joined team Outright again to run in the Vermont City Marathon and I need your help. This year, although leaving my position at Outright to pursue a Masters degree I have stayed involved in multiple volunteer facets. I connect with the youth of this organization on such an emotional and passionate level. To me it’s simple, every youth should be treated with equal respect and be able to attend school and social events without the fear of being bullied. Outright Vermont makes the climate in schools safer and more supportive for all youth, as well as providing a safe space with social and support groups that are queer affirming. The support provided by Outright is essential to the lives of many youth in Vermont and beyond and I am honored to donate my time and energy to such a vital organization!

The Mission of Outright is to build safe, healthy, and supportive environments for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth (ages 13-22). Their goal is to make Vermont the safest, most supportive and empowering state for queer youth in the United States of America.
Outright’s organizing strategy is based on a youth empowerment, social change model that tells us that youth power is an essential element in the fight for equal rights. They describe youth empowerment in two parts – providing the safe space and resources so that youth can do the heavy lifting themselves and adjusting the fundamental power dynamics so that their hard work can achieves results.
This Year Outright will be hosting weekly support groups, hosting the annual GSA Conference, Hosting the 2nd Annual Queer Camp, Helping to sponsor stronger anti bullying and harassment bill in the Statehouse, providing numerous anti bullying and harassment presentations across the state, and this is just a snap shot! I hope that you will consider joining me in my support; no amount is too small whether it be $1 or $100 what matters most is knowing that together we are doing great things for the youth of today!
Thank you for your support!
