Probably the most inspirational person I’ve ever known directly is Louie Bonpua. If you’d like to feel inspired for ~5 minutes, here’s an excellent video celebrating him. Louie contracted Leukemia at age 32 and died less than 5 years later, but that misses what happened in between: Louie was determined to show that “you can still live even when you are told you are going to die” and, supported by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, he competed in 9 triathlons. Including the grueling Ironman Canada, which he completed in 16 hours and 56 minutes, less than five months before he died. I’d love your help so we don’t have to lose people like Louie so tragically early.
