"They're turning my car into swiss cheese!"
Those are the words of Sgt. Al Powell. What was supposed to be a routine night buying twinkies for his pregnant wife (really himself) turned into the scariest, most exciting night of his career. Ambushed by terrorists and quickly welcomed to the party, old Al was in for a long night, but this did not deter him. He eventually got to meet Bruce Willis, shoot that guy from The Money Pit, and help thwart the takeover at Nakatomi Plaza.
Reginald VelJohnson portrayed this character beautifully and helped demonstrate that when your "car" is turned into swiss cheese, you too can still accomplish your goals. Team Reginald Veljohnson continues to honor the spirit of this man by running the Tough Mudder and giving confidence to others, to show that you too can become the cop from Die Hard, or the cop from Family Matters. Or Ghostbusters. Or Turner and Hooch. Or Die Hard 2. Please donate to our cause or join our team!
Tough Mudder is a team-oriented 10-12 mile (18-20 km) obstacle course designed to test physical strength and mental grit. Tough Mudder puts camaraderie over finisher rankings and is not a timed race but a team challenge that allows participants to experience exhilarating, yet safe, world-class obstacles they won't find anywhere else.
