BENEFITING: Marc Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer Foundation
EVENT DATE: Oct 09, 2016
In March of 2015, at the age of 65 my mom Rhonda Eileen Williams was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Despite the odds her family remained hopeful throughout the course of her treatment that the disease would go into remission.
Unfortunately, pancreatic cancer is one of the hardest forms of cancer to detect early. By 2020 it is expected to become the second most deadly form of cancer, despite advances in cancer research. This year alone 53,070 Americans will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and 41,780 will die from it, according to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
Unfortunately, Rhonda was among those who have lost their lives to this disease. Her battle ended May 29, 2016. With her in our thoughts and for all other patients suffering from this vicious cancer, I ask that you donate to the Lustgarten Foundation which devotes 100% of its contributions toward pancreatic cancer research.
