The Fallen Heroes Run & Rally benefits the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF), a non-profit organization which has “has provided close to $120 million in support for the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation, and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans” (www.fallenheroesfund.org).
IFHF assists our wounded and disabled Warrior through rehabilitation efforts and ...medical care provided at the Center for the Intrepid at the Brooke Army Medical Center, Texas. In June 2010, IFHF also opened the 72,000 square foot National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) in Bethesda, Maryland, to research, diagnose and treat traumatic brain injury (TBI), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other psychological issues affecting our returning service members. This facility has some of the most advanced technology and care available to our fallen Heroes.
