BENEFITING: ROW NEW YORK
ORGANIZER: ROW NEW YORK
After years of heavy drinking and smoking, a strong sense of impending mortality and fading morality rolled into a semi-midlife crisis and a recent hamstring injury from getting off a bar stool, I figured what better way to get back into shape than to run the NYC Marathon? I always wanted to do that! Let's just say the training hasn't been easy... Plus, I only found out the other day I'd have to go to Staten Island very early in the morning to start this thing (I thought it started and finished in Central Park). Basically, I need all the help I can get.
I am committed to doing this not only so I can brag endlessly to my friends that work out all the time, but really for the charity I will be running for. Row New York is an unbelievable organization (see info about what they do below) that was begun by my little sister, Amanda. She'll be running the marathon with me. I also plan to beat her by a wide margin. I've set my fundraising goal at $10,000 (also to beat her goal) but would like to raise even more for this well-deserved non-profit and Herculean poorly planned effort on my part. If you want to make a large donation please contact me directly on how to do so! Thanks, Nick.
p.s. Check out my video link of my training routine coming soon!

Row New York's team of five will run the ING New York City Marathon to raise money to support our programs. Our 26.2 miles could lead to new boats, oars, and other equipment, additional academic programming, and serving more youth.
