Running this years Boston Marathon in memory of my Uncle Jimmy...keep soaring dragonfly...
Thank you for taking the time to visit my Samaritans Boston Marathon fundraising page. I feel extremely blessed to be a member of this years Samaritans Marathon team. This will be my first marathon and what better one to do than Boston! I graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 2008 where I played four years on the womens basketball team. Since graduating I have missed having something to train for. I am honored to be able to raise money and run for Samaritans, an incredible nonprofit that spreads awareness for suicide prevention.
Suicide is something that hits close to home for my family and I. In 2007, my Uncle Jimmy took his life and not a day goes by that we do not think about him. Jimmy was an incredible uncle, brother, son, and friend. He loved taking risks, being outdoors, staying active, and strumming his guitar to good music. I am extremely determined to train day in and day out for the marathon and also dedicated to meet my goal to help raise money for Samartians.
Please consider making a donation and help to support Samaritans' suicide prevention services.
Thank you for your support!!!
