THE STORY:
Hey all!
For those of you who may not know, I am a second year veterinary student at Mississippi State University. In May of 2015, I have the wonderful opportunity to travel to San Carlos, AZ with a team of 30 veterinary students and 15 professionals. While there, we will provide veterinary care to the animals at the underserved San Carlos Apache Reservation. We will be setting up a free spay/neuter clinic and wellness care to treat around 500 animals in a week. Pets will also be treated for other medical conditions such as parvovirus, distemper, and tick-borne illnesses. We will continue to work by aiding local tribal health efforts to eradicate Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever - improving the health and welfare of both animals and people in need.
This is where I am asking for help- HSVMA-RAVS program sets up clinics like this annually in underserved parts of the country, and operate entirely on donations. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to make a difference in these communities! My goal is to raise $1,000 that will go directly towards providing vaccines, equipment, and medicine for our patients so that we can provide top quality care. Thank you so much for considering donating to this terrific cause!
