Team Scarberry, a father-son team, is part of the Team Will Tour 2015 to help raise awareness about childhood cancer and raise money for families of children with cancer.
Team Scarberry’s goal is to raise $10,000 for Team Will, which helps families with expenses associated with having a child in cancer treatment. The Team Will Tour 2015 hopes to raise over $75,000.
The Team Will Tour 2015 is a 7-day, 2,600+ mile bike ride from Sacramento, CA, to Knoxville, TN. Along the way, we will be visiting hospitals to bring hope to children who are fighting cancer and participate in a variety of community events.
In addition, we will have the privilege of being hosted by families and churches who will provide lodging and meals to help defray some of the expense of the trek.
As one of this year’s participating teams, we plan to ride up to 6 hours, per day (80 – 100 miles, per day). When not riding, we will be visiting children diagnosed with this very deadly disease. This is the greatest physical challenge we have ever attempted. Meeting this commitment will require hundreds of training hours, finances and a very understanding family. We begin our training in January will train in earnest until our departure in July, 2015.
Thank you for your consideration and donation to Team Scarberry! Together we can make a difference for families of children with cancer!
