I am a marketing professional in Boston, and a retired soccer player originally from a small town called Pembroke in the South Shore. Running the Boston Marathon has been a personal goal of mine for years, and I am so thankful for this opportunity.
I will be raising money towards South Shore Hospital's Cancer Care unit, in memory of the strongest woman I have ever known, my mother. She fought a long battle with breast and lung cancer for years, and passed away a short, seven years ago. I will be running every step of those 26.2 miles for her.
While she may not be able to cheer me on from the sidewalks throughout the race in person, I know she will be with me in spirit throughout the race. I hope you can join us in this journey as well!
Thank you so much for all of your love and support. Go Team South Shore Hospital!
