Our deepest sympathies go out to those who were affected by the tragic events at the 2013 Boston Marathon. We are grateful that no members of South Shore Hospital's marathon team were physically injured.
However, because many of our runners had post-marathon fundraising plans that were disrupted, they have committed themselves to finish what they started and reach their goals.
Please help the team complete their race to raise funds for Cancer Care, Pediatrics, Neonatal Care, Palliative Care, Cardiac Care, and Home Care.
South Shore Hospital, a dynamic, growing regional medical center founded in 1922, exists to benefit the 750,000 residents of Southeastern Massachusetts by promoting good health, and by healing, caring and comforting. As the largest hospital in the region and the 7th largest in Massachusetts, South Shore Hospital receives over 400,000 patient visits each year. Patients and their families have access to the most advanced medical care through the Hospital’s longstanding clinical affiliations with Children’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Members of the 2013 South Shore Hospital Boston Marathon Team have the opportunity to support a variety of programs benefiting South Shore Hospital’s patients and families.
