Join the St. Jude Heroes team at the 2013 Pittsburgh Marathon to help us raise money in the fight against childhood cancer!
To register for our team or make a donation, please visit www.fundraising.stjude.org/pittsburghmarathon. As a St. Jude Hero, you can earn great benefits like free race entry, training support, race weekend hotel accommodations, St. Jude gear and much more. Most importantly, you will become a member of a team that is not only working together to achieve fitness goals but also to help St. Jude achieve the larger goal of finding cures and saving children.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility. Discoveries made here have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. With research and patient care under one roof, St. Jude is where some of today's most gifted researchers are able to do science more quickly. Since opening in 1962, St. Jude has helped increase overall survival rates for childhood cancers from 20% to more than 80%. Additionally, patients are treated at St. Jude for free; no family ever pays for the treatment and care their child receives. St. Jude also freely shares their research and treatment protocols with the medical community, so that hospitals and doctors throughout the world can treat their patients locally. Learn more today about how you can continue to help us fight childhood cancer.
