BENEFITING: STRAY RESCUE OF ST LOUIS
ORGANIZER: STRAY RESCUE OF ST LOUIS
EVENT: 2013 GO! For A Cause
EVENT DATE: Apr 06, 2013
Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues:
Once again, I am thrilled to be running in the GO! St. Louis Half Marathon, as part of Stray Rescue's Team Running Buddies, benefitting the training and enrichment programs for once homeless dogs at Stray Rescue.
The Running Buddies Program is an enrichment program where people can visit the shelter and sign out a dog as a running partner. This provides essential enrichment for shelter dogs, making them more adoptable through exercise and socialization. For each dog that is adopted, one more can be rescued from a life of misery.
Since 2008, I have fostered over a dozen rescues and am still amazed by how these dogs can overcome the neglect (and often abuse) they have suffered, to become the loving companions they were intended to be. Stray Rescue is the first stop on their road to recovery and into their forever homes.
My personal goal this year is to raise $500.00 and I would be forever grateful for your support. If each of you were to donate a mere $10.00, I could reach this goal in no time. Every penny donated goes directly to the shelter dogs and has a direct impact on giving companion animals a second chance.
Thank you so much for your support and generosity!
