THE STORY:

Friends,

Here we go again! Marathon season!

On Sunday, November 1 I will run 26.2 miles as a member of team Success Academy, a charter school network responsible for opening my eyes to the state of education in our country.

Throughout my journey to understanding why reform matters and who has the authority to make change, I have met parents – from public schools, charter schools, private schools – dedicated to raising the bar as to what qualifies as a “good school” in our city, across the state and throughout the country.

I am running out of admiration for these parents. Not only do they put in the time to ensure their child receives a great education, but also to ensure all children in their community have the same opportunities to thrive. These parents assume accountability for all children’s academic success or failure, proving that it takes a village to raise a child.

Sponsor the SA Team by clicking on the "DONATE" button. Thank you in advance for your support in helping me to reach my $3,000 fundraising goal in only a few weeks!

When you donate, give a shout out to a SA parent or any parent who is dedicated to building or supporting schools that bring positive change.

Please pass this link along to your friends and family who may be interested in donating as well. Ask if your company has a matching gifts program, as it's an easy way to double your donation.
